FSB detained a priest for recruiting parishioners to the Russian Orthodox Church
In Novorossiysk, law enforcement officers detained a man who tried to create an intelligence group in the region to commit terrorist acts. This was announced on November 19 by the Office of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation in the Krasnodar Territory.
"A Russian citizen has been detained who, on the instructions of a pro-Ukrainian terrorist organization, attempted to create sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the region in order to commit terrorist acts," the material says.
It is clarified that the man joined a terrorist organization operating in the interests of the Ukrainian special services, which aims to form public opinion about the need for the Krasnodar Territory to secede from Russia in order to join the European Union (EU) and NATO.
Russian Russian Orthodox Church reports that the attacker turned out to be a priest who was expelled from the Novorossiysk Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church on suspicion of recruiting to the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK, recognized as a terrorist organization and banned in the Russian Federation), who is taking part in hostilities on the side of Ukraine.
