- Trump urged not to be distracted from the victories he has achieved because of the Epstein case
US President Donald Trump, commenting on the bill on the publication of the case file of financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking minors and sexual exploitation, on November 18 urged not to be distracted from the victories achieved by him and his administration.
"I don't care when the Senate passes the House bill, whether it's tonight or in the near future, I just don't want Republicans to look away from all the victories we've had," he wrote on his TruthSocial social media page.
Trump recalled that he had managed to make the United States the "hottest" country in the world, resolve eight conflicts and stop record inflation, recorded as a result of the activities of former President Joe Biden. Summing up the list of his achievements, he once again called on his readers to make America great again. ("Make America Great Again" (MAGA) is Trump's campaign slogan).
The American leader, who had previously called on Republicans to support the publication of Epstein's files in Congress, on the same day denied any connection with financier Jeffrey Epstein, whom he called a "sick pervert."
On November 18, the U.S. House of Representatives approved a bill on the disclosure of these documents and supported a resolution on the disclosure of a number of names of those civil servants who may have appeared in them. After that, the U.S. Senate approved the release of Epstein's materials in absentia. The initiative, which came from Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Democratic minority, was accepted without objection.
