Olga Kokhas, a trichologist and founder of the Eurasian Trichological Association, told why a winter headdress spoils a hairstyle and how to fix it.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, November 18, she noted that the reason lies not in the fact of wearing a headdress, but in its improper use. According to her, additional care products are not required, since wearing hats really spoils the hairstyle and provokes greasiness. She explained that the looser the headdress, the better it is for the scalp and hair, as the skin does not dry out and there is no increased blood circulation.

The expert stressed that not only the style, but also the material plays an important role, noting that synthetic fabrics can exacerbate the problem.

The ideal winter hat should match the weather and be made of natural materials. The trichologist also warned about the need to thoroughly wash hats at least once a week, as bacteria and fungus accumulate in them, stressing that cleanliness of the hat is the most important rule.

She added that it is necessary to closely monitor the condition of the scalp, since redness, peeling and itching are the first signs of a fungal lesion.

Earlier on November 18, trichologist Anna Averkina, in an interview with Izvestia, named the causes of hair loss in the fall. According to her, autumn is the time when vitamin D levels decrease. Melancholy, apathy, drowsiness — everything affects the body, skin and hair condition.

On November 17, Sofia Belash, a trichologist, warned about the dangers of daily hair drying. According to her, this can seriously damage their structure and scalp, the website notes. kp.ru .

On November 13, Anna Ubilava, a dermatovenerologist and cosmetologist at Sretenka, said that walking without a hat in the cold can lead to baldness. In an interview with RIAMO, she noted that due to low temperatures, the vessels of the scalp constrict. Also, strong wind and lack of moisture cause hair fragility, writes RT.
