The International Forum of the Russian language "I Teach the Great" has opened in Moscow. 150 teachers and teachers of the Russian language from 17 countries, from Sri Lanka and Indonesia to Belarus and Cuba, came to Moscow.

The high-profile event completes the two-year implementation of the international school project "I teach the Great." Russian Russian History Foundation is one of the educational programs with a cultural block in Russia for foreign teachers of the Russian language and Russian literature, which has been implemented since 2024 under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

"Your mission goes far beyond training. You give your students access to the treasury of world culture, to the richest literary heritage, to centuries-old history and scientific achievements. The Russian language serves as a bridge that strengthens mutual understanding and friendship between Russia and countries around the world. We will continue to fully support your work, provide modern educational materials, and expand professional development programs. Your confidence in the importance of your work is our common priority," Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, greeted the guests in a video message.

"The needs, aspirations and difficulties that you face in your work are one of the tasks of our Foundation, to make it easier and more convenient for you to work, so that you can be inspired to promote the Russian language and culture. The main purpose of our projects is to support you, because you are the one who does the main work with your students. Thank you for your daily feat, for maintaining and increasing your interest in the Russian word in difficult conditions. International Forum “I Teach Great Things” is not just an event, but a space where professionals, ideas and inspiration meet. This is where the future of Russian studies at the global level is being shaped," said Ivan Yesin, Director of the My Story Foundation, and emphasized the importance of each teacher for the activities of the Ivan Yesin Foundation.

Over the past two years, school and university teachers from 14 countries have become participants in the "I Teach the Great" schools: Cuba, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, South Ossetia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, Kazakhstan, India, China, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Iraq, Turkmenistan. Russian Russian studies has expanded into new areas this year. This is an on–site format where professional development takes place in the country, the "Learning Great" format for students who are future teachers of the Russian language, the format of festivals and forums for foreign Russian speakers, and the "I Speak Great" Olympiad for schoolchildren and students in Russian.

Russian Russians are among the Forum's participating countries, not only the permanent partners of the I Teach the Great School project, but also new states where the My Story Foundation, as a federal operator, is developing a comprehensive network of Open Education Centers in Russian and Russian Language Teaching Abroad. The leading pedagogical universities of Russia act as the country operators of the Central Educational Institution, which carry out educational activities directly in the country. They also provided methodological support for the Forum with the participation of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language.

Russian Russian language teaching in countries such as India, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan was shared by the participants at the panel discussion "The role of the Russian language in the educational systems of countries near and far abroad." Colleagues from the post-Soviet countries noted the importance of learning Russian in a multinational environment, which opens up new cultural and educational opportunities for young people. The first block of the Forum ended with the signing of an agreement between the foundations "My Story" (Russia) and "Our Future" (Armenia).

In the afternoon, Russian scholars from all over the world will discuss topical issues and trends in the field of teaching Russian language and literature in different countries, get acquainted with leading Russian experts in this field, exchange experiences with colleagues, present their developments and ideas and attend master classes.

Tomorrow, on November 19, the rich educational program will continue with an equally active cultural one – this is a mandatory block of all events of the I Teach the Great School project: traditionally, these are museums, theaters and the top tourist locations. This time, after a sightseeing tour of Moscow, the participants of the International Forum will visit the central event of the year of commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Victory, the exhibition "The Great Victory. Russia is My story." Russian Russian language and literature teachers from abroad will walk the heroic path of the Soviet people in 15 halls among 700 unique exhibits, many of which have left the storerooms of Russian and Belarusian museums and archives for the first time.

Russian Russian "Thank you to the great Russian language for uniting us all!", – the words of one of the participants convey the mood with which the teachers came to Russia and intend to continue their work to promote the Russian language and culture in the world.
