BMW entered the top ten of the Russian car market in terms of sales

The BMW brand was in the top 10 of the Russian market in terms of new cars sold last week, although the German manufacturer does not officially conduct business in the country. This was reported on November 17 by the analytical agency Autostat.

So, according to the results of the 46th week of this year (from November 10 to November 16), 505 new BMW cars were sold in Russia. The brand took the tenth place in the rating, in which Lada continues to lead (6306 cars sold per week).

Haval is in second place (4,105 units), followed by Geely (2,171 units) and the new domestic brand Tenet (2,133 units), as well as the Belarusian Belgee (1,751 units).

The top ten was completed by Chapdap (1,044 units), Toyota (1,039 units), domestic Solaris (839 units), Chery (810 units), which also ranked above BMW.

In total, almost 28.8 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia last week, which is 2.1% more than a week earlier and 11.8% higher than a year ago.

Earlier that day, dealers said that November did not start well on the Russian car market, contracting dropped by 40% compared to last month. The sales results of the last month of autumn will be worse than in the middle of it, and the market volume will be about 140 thousand new cars.
