According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Transport and Industry, support for motherhood and childhood remains a priority, and manufacturers are expanding their product range and increasing production volumes. Thus, in the first nine months of 2025, the production of knitted and crocheted clothing increased by 34%, and cotton products — by 72%. From January to September, more than 187,000 knitted suits and jumpsuits and over 22,000 sliders were made, according to RIAMO.

One of the local factories, which has been operating for more than 20 years, produces a wide range of clothing and textiles for children under three years old. Another company has developed and patented accessories for bathing newborns — hammocks, cushions, mattresses and other products. A separate group of manufacturers makes orthopedic children's shoes using the recommendations of specialists, the Moscow City News agency writes.

The city also provides the population with baby food produced by two dairy enterprises. The supply contract for milk dispensaries was concluded in 2020, after which the plants were modernized.
