For the first time, the Kaliningrad Regional Museum of History and Art showed Tatiana's handwritten letter to Onegin from the novel "Eugene Onegin" by Alexander Pushkin. This was announced on November 14 at the institution.

"A landmark event took place at the museum — for the first time, the censored manuscript "Letter of Tatiana" from the poem "Eugene Onegin" by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin was presented to the public," the museum said in a message on the VKontakte social network.

According to the museum, the authenticity of the document has been confirmed by the Ministry of Justice. It also has the signature of Pavel Gayevsky, a representative of the St. Petersburg Censorship Committee, the date is "December 9, 1826", as well as the autograph of the poet "A. Pushkin".

According to the director of the museum Ekaterina Manyuk, the manuscript came to the museum thanks to the philanthropist Maria Terekhova, who is a descendant of the business manager Count Uvarov.

"Today we are all participants in a historic event. The family has carefully preserved the document from generation to generation, along with the archive of Counts Sergei Semenovich and Alexei Sergeevich Uvarov," she said.

Earlier in January, it was reported that musician Viktor Tsoi's manuscript — the lyrics of the song "Passerby" — was put up for auction. Its starting price is 1.5 million rubles. The text of "Passerby" was written in 1986 and in the draft version was called "Strong personality". The value of this manuscript lies in the fact that right on the sheet there is a resolution allowing the song to be performed at intra-club concerts. Later, the song was included in the cult album "Blood Type".
