Politico reported on von der Leyen's loss of her positions in the European Parliament
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is losing her position in the European Parliament amid the success of right-wing parties. This was reported on November 14 by the European edition of Politico.
It is clarified that we are talking about the approval of a project on reducing supply chains, voting for which the European People's Party von der Leyen was forced to abandon its centrist allies and continue working with far-right groups.
"Violating decades—old political protocol, this step signed the death sentence of the so—called cordon sanitaire, an informal pact between Europe's centrist forces — the EPP, the Socialists and Democrats, the liberals from Renew and the Greens - on the inadmissibility of the participation of the extreme right in decision-making," Politico noted.
