At the same time, short-haired and small breeds freeze very quickly on the street, so they will need warm clothes made of waterproof fabrics. And many dogs need special shoes that protect the sensitive pads of their paws from hypothermia and chemicals. It is necessary to accustom the puppy to shoes in advance, to practice walking in them at home, Golubev emphasized.

When walking in the snow for the first time, you should never let your pet go without a leash — because of emotions, the dog can run away and get lost.

Before going out, it is recommended to talk to the puppy in a cheerful voice. The dog will understand that something interesting is waiting for it. The dog handler also recommended taking treats with you — they will be useful to encourage the puppy during the execution of commands and consolidate his correct behavior on the street.
