The state prosecution has requested 11 years in prison for Gozman's foreign agent for calls to terrorism

The state prosecution requested that Leonid Gozman, a politician recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent and included in the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists, who publicly called for terrorist activities in Russia, be found guilty in absentia and sentenced to 11 years in prison. This was reported on November 14 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Second Western District Military Court.

According to the investigation, in 2023, Gozman gave an interview to a foreign publication, which recorded public calls for terrorist activities in Russia and propaganda of terrorism. A psychological and linguistic examination was carried out during the investigation. The conclusions of the experts and other evidence confirmed Gozman's guilt.

Earlier, on September 23, the investigation of the criminal case against Gozman was completed in Moscow. Prior to that, on September 19, the court arrested a foreign agent in absentia in a case of terrorism justification. On September 30, the criminal case was sent to court.

On February 17, the court fined Gozman for violating the law on foreign agents. The reason was the politician's texts on social networks with deliberate distortion of information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces.
