The emergence of a universal institution of self—regulation, which will unite retail chains, digital platforms, suppliers and interested authorities, will make it possible to coordinate the interests of the state and business, create an effective dispute resolution mechanism and ensure the sustainable development of trade as a whole, eliminating imbalances. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Presidium of the Association of Retail Trade Companies (ACORT) in an interview with Izvestia Stanislav Bogdanov.

According to him, the task of such an institution is to develop voluntary standards of behavior for market participants and arbitration to resolve possible conflict situations.

"The retail market has changed, today all major retail chains are becoming omnichannel, implementing platform solutions, so the creation of a single institute for trade self—regulation is a logical and timely step," the source is convinced.

Responsible self-regulation is an important element in the new national trading model aimed at updating trade legislation and creating a favorable environment for the effective development of all market participants, he emphasizes.

"Self-regulation mechanisms will help avoid chaos during the transformation of trade legislation and the introduction of a new national trading model. They will also reduce the administrative and bureaucratic burden on government authorities and businesses, and allow them to flexibly and quickly implement good practices in the market," Bogdanov said.
