The Russian Armed Forces received a batch of "Sunbeams" with additional protection from drones

Uralvagonzavod Concern, which is part of the Russian Rostec state Corporation, has handed over to the Russian Armed Forces a batch of TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy flame-throwing systems with additional protection against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced on November 13 by the company's press service.

"The vehicles have received an upgraded UAV protection system, developed taking into account the experience of combat use," Uralvagonzavod wrote on its Telegram channel.

Dmitry Semizorov, Deputy General Director for Special Equipment of the concern, noted that engineers and designers are constantly improving Solntsepek, increasing its efficiency in the face of emerging modern threats.

The new structure received governing bodies, leadership and an emblem.

Earlier, on November 7, the High-Precision Complexes holding, part of Rostec State Corporation, supplied the Russian Armed Forces with regular batches of missiles for Kornet anti-tank systems and Krasnopol-M2 precision artillery shells. It was noted that the Kornet is designed to defeat modern tanks, including vehicles with dynamic protection.
