Russia and the United States, as the largest nuclear powers, have a special responsibility for maintaining global security. This was announced on November 13 by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shoigu.

"Moscow and Washington, as the two largest nuclear powers, have a special responsibility for maintaining global peace and security," he stressed in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Shoigu, Russia intends to continue to take the necessary measures to preserve the system of strategic stability.
