Crews of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the 5th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade named after A.V. Zakharchenko of the Center group of forces dropped a new batch of propaganda leaflets with instructions on voluntary surrender over the positions of Ukrainian formations in the Dimitrov area of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on November 13 by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the agency, the leaflets contain appeals to the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to stop resisting and promise to save their lives and return home after surrender.

"Voluntary surrender to Russian units is guaranteed to preserve the life and health of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and allow them to return home to their families and friends in the future," the ministry said.

Before the start of the assault operations, the reconnaissance UAV crews identify the positions and routes of movement of the Armed Forces units, after which they scatter propaganda materials. The leaflets are rolled up into rolls of 100 pieces and dropped from quadrocopters from a height, which allows them to cover a large area, including enemy locations.

Earlier, on October 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that some Ukrainian soldiers in the Kharkiv region had laid down their weapons and surrendered after dropping similar leaflets near the village of Tikhoe. The rest of the fighters, according to the ministry, abandoned their positions after the losses, which allowed the Russian units to liberate the settlement.
