FC Lokomotiv announced the appointment of Boris Rotenberg to the post of CEO
The Board of Directors of Moscow football club (FC) Lokomotiv announced personnel changes in the club's management: Boris Rotenberg took over the post of CEO, replacing Vladimir Leonchenko. This was reported on November 12 by Sport-Express.
"The club's Board of Directors announces its decision to appoint Boris Borisovich Rotenberg as CEO of FC Lokomotiv Moscow. With the appointment of Boris, the shareholders and the board of directors of the football club pin their hopes on the further development of the club within the framework of the policy of increasing efficiency and returning the winning traditions of Lokomotiv," Sport-Express cites a statement.
It is specified that the club thanked Leonchenko for his cooperation, noting his contribution and efforts as head. He has served as the club's CEO since December 2020.
Lokomotiv is in fourth place in the Russian Premier League (RPL) standings following the results of the 15th round. The team has 30 points.
Earlier, on November 9, Lokomotiv defeated Orenburg in the home match of the 15th round of the Russian Premier League with a score of 1:0. The only goal for Lokomotiv was scored by striker Nikolay Komlichenko, who converted a penalty in the 72nd minute. This ball was the striker's fourth this season.
