Peskov confirmed Adviser Starmer's attempt to establish contact with Russia

Jonathan Powell, adviser to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, did try to establish an unofficial channel of communication with the Russian authorities, but the dialogue did not continue. This was announced on November 12 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Indeed, there was contact. The contact took place. This is true. The dialogue has not been continued," he said during a briefing.
