The Asian low-cost airline AirAsia plans to launch direct flights to Russia within six months. This was announced on November 12 by Tony Fernandes, Chairman of the airline's Management Board.

"Just yesterday, my team announced that they had found planes that would allow us to fly to Russia," he said in an interview with TASS.
