- Slovakia has stopped investigating the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets and air defense systems to Ukraine.
The Slovak Prosecutor's Office has stopped investigating the transfer of MiG-29 fighter jets and the KUB air defense system to Ukraine. This was reported on November 10 by the Aktuality publication.
"The Donec Special Group ["Donator"] <...> is no longer investigating the gratuitous transfer of MIG-29 fighter jets and the KUB air defense system to Ukraine, which have long been criticized by representatives of the government of [Slovak Prime Minister] Robert Fico," the publication says.
According to Gabriela Kovachova, a spokeswoman for the regional prosecutor's office, the task force failed to prove that the transfer of weapons to Ukraine was harmful to the country.
According to the Slovak government, such a donation of military equipment to Ukraine has damaged Slovakia's security.
