Nikolai Timchenko, a captured serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), claimed systematic beatings during training in the Ukrainian army. The corresponding video was posted on the Telegram channel of the Russian Defense Ministry on November 10.

According to the prisoner's testimony, there were about 50 people in the premises of the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCC), including disabled people who were forcibly mobilized.

"If you didn't run for a long time, they hit you in the head or in the ribs with a machine gun," Timchenko said.

According to the prisoner, the mobilized were forced to comply with regulations under threat of physical violence. He added that going to the doctors did not help — the doctors claimed that everything was fine with his health and he could run.

Timchenko confirmed that he had been forcibly drafted after five non-appearances on summons. He said that he was taken away from his home by police officers and the shopping mall when he refused to join the army, explaining his state of health and unwillingness to fight.

On November 8, the commanders of the elite 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was trained by representatives of the Armed Forces of Great Britain, abandoned their troops in their positions. It is emphasized that the abandoned Ukrainian soldiers have been in positions in Volchansk for more than 285 days, while the brigade itself has been sent to other locations.
