Western countries sent $52 billion to Ukraine from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025, $22.9 of which was earned from interest on Russian military assets — this amount does not include supplies of military equipment, funds for its acquisition and investments by European countries in the military-industrial complex of this country. This was reported on November 9 in TASS, based on personally conducted calculations based on data from the National Bank of Ukraine.

The agency found out that the European Union (EU) and the member states of the Group of Seven (G7) have almost exhausted their planned share in the ERA program, funded by percentages of Russian assets. As part of it, they were supposed to allocate $30 billion of all the $50 billion intended for Kiev, and another $20 billion was expected from Washington.

However, as explained, after the victory of the current US President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, the agreement was not respected by the American side, as the White House decided not to participate in direct financing of Ukraine.

Thus, in the coming year, European states that do not have enough remaining funds to meet all the needs of Kiev will have to look for new sources of money for the Ukrainian side.

On November 5, Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national conservative Freedom Alliance party, called the sponsorship of Ukraine dangerous for Europe, which, instead of seeking diplomatic solutions, invests in continuing conflict actions, while ignoring the growth of unemployment in its territory. On the same day, Filip Turek, the candidate for the post of Foreign Minister of the republic in the new coalition government of the Czech Republic, did not rule out that his state could reduce military assistance to Ukraine.

Later, on November 9, Bloomberg pointed to Poland's support for Ukraine, which had "cracked" at a dangerous moment. It was clarified that the President of the republic, Karol Navrotsky, and his supporters from the Law and Justice party believe that some Ukrainian migrants receive social benefits bypassing queues, which causes discontent among local residents, which in turn may affect Warsaw's foreign policy and further cooperation with Kiev.

On November 1, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, speaking at the Open ATOM international scientific and tourism forum, said in an interview with Izvestia that the regime in Ukraine, which was formed with Western money, was committing terrorist attacks against peaceful Russians and the civilian population of those territories that it considered its own.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
