The damaged power supply of the NPP was restored via the second line
The second high—voltage line, Ferroalloy-1, has started operating at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), and now power is supplied via two lines. This was announced on November 8 in the press service of the NPP.
"Today, the second line, Ferroalloy—1, which has been disabled since May 7, returned to service. Its inclusion is especially important for reliable provision of heat supply to the city," the publication says in the Telegram channel.
According to the press service, the presence of two operating lines will contribute to the creation of the necessary energy reserve and increase the reliability of external power supply to the NPP.
Earlier, on October 23, it was reported that the Zaporizhia NPP had resumed the supply of electricity to meet the station's own needs 30 days after the complete loss of external power supply. It is specified that previously the power supply for the station's own needs was carried out from backup diesel generators.
