Sergunina announced the BRICS+ Science Week in Moscow
From November 10 to November 15, Moscow will host the BRICS+ Open Science Week. Lectures by scientists, film screenings and interactive workshops will be organized in Zaryadye Park, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
Almost 40 events are planned, the deputy mayor noted. "Participants will be told about modern research in the field of robotics and ways to train neural networks, they will be introduced to the basics of physics, chemistry, botany, geology and other disciplines," Sergunina added. According to her, similar major events had previously been held in Shenzhen, Rio de Janeiro and Minsk.
The program will unfold in the scientific and educational center "Zapovednoe Embassy".
Lectures will be devoted to the possibilities of artificial intelligence, innovative solutions in agriculture and the operation of particle accelerators. At the master classes, everyone will be offered to split the laser beam using a diffraction grating, and mechanical stress in materials and properties of light will be shown: dispersion, diffraction, interference. Visitors to the park will also be able to see films about the achievements of young scientists, as well as the Moscow Planetarium.
In September, Moscow hosted the Cloud Cities Forum on the future of BRICS cities. His main topics were robotics and artificial intelligence. The event attracted representatives from China, the Republic of South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Turkey, and other countries.
