Nuggets can be eaten without harm to health no more than twice a month. Dmitry Bystrov, food technologist, Associate Professor of the Department of Food Industry, Hospitality and Service at Rosbiotech University, told about this on Friday, November 7.

The expert warned that this dish contains a lot of saturated fats and trans fats, which increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases and obesity. In addition, they contain a lot of salt, which can lead to hypertension and kidney problems, he added.

"Wheat, soy flour, skin, bones and other ingredients are added to the chicken fillet intended for nuggets. Bones were found in some samples, which indicates the use of poor quality meat with a low protein content," Bystrov said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .

He clarified that vegetable fat is used instead of cheese, which is offered as a filling. Regular consumption of such products, as Bystrov noted, is fraught with a shortage of substances necessary for the body, which has an extremely negative effect on health, the food technologist emphasized.

According to the expert, nuggets can be made independently.

"Homemade nuggets use only fresh chicken breast, egg, flour and breadcrumbs of your choice. You can cook in a frying pan with a minimum of oil or in the oven — almost without fat," he concluded.

Earlier, on September 2, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children, Tatyana Butskaya, told the National Assembly that the school menu has to be made more diverse and unusual, since children go to fast food restaurants outside of school, and prefer nuggets to cutlets. She added that there have been no sodas, burgers, or chips on the school menu for a long time, RT reports.

In turn, Ekaterina Chelombitko, head of the Cardiology department of the Federal Center for Brain and Neurotechnology of the FMBA of Russia, cardiologist, told the Moscow City News agency that bad habits and excessive use of vasoconstrictor drops are causing an increase in cases of hypertension in children and adolescents in Russia.

In January, Anna Biryukova, a cardiologist at SM Clinic, stated that eating sausage products every day entails a significant increase in the risk of heart disease. She also warned that the addition of large amounts of table salt to food has a negative effect on the body.

Nutritionist Tatiana Solntseva said that eating fast food causes a child to have an acute vitamin A deficiency, which eventually leads to optic nerve atrophy and vision loss. 360.ru .
