- A humanitarian center was opened with funds from the Easter edition of the Russian Lotto
With funds raised during the Russian Lotto charity Easter lottery this year, a humanitarian center was opened in the village of Sokolskoye in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported in the Stoloto press service.
Now residents of the village and nearby settlements can receive the necessary assistance in Sokolsky. Previously, they had to go to the cities of Zavolzhye and Semenov, which are located a few hours away from Sokolsky.
A collection of donations for the equipment needed to open a humanitarian center was launched on the website of the Mercy of the Volga Region resource Center. However, the amount collected was not enough. The funds from the Easter edition helped to close the collection and purchase everything necessary.
The Humanitarian Center in Sokolsky is one of more than 10 projects that have already received support from funds from the Easter edition in 2025.
"For the third year in a row, Stoloto, the largest distributor of All-Russian state lotteries, whose portfolio includes Russian Lotto, has been transferring 10 rubles from each ticket sold for the Easter edition to Mercy, the largest Orthodox aid service in our country, for charitable purposes. During this time, these funds have helped thousands of people in need and hundreds of socially significant projects in different parts of our country," said Oksana Tubman, Director of Sponsorship and Corporate Social Responsibility at S8 Capital Holding, which includes Stoloto.
Over the past three years, almost 154 million rubles have been raised for charity as part of the Russian Lotto Easter lottery. Over 120 projects across the country received support in 2023 and 2024.
