Kanye West apologizes to Jewish people for anti-Semitic remarks
American rap artist and producer Kanye West (real name Kanye Omari West), also known under the pseudonym Ye Ye, met with Israeli-Moroccan Orthodox Rabbi Yoshiyahu Pinto in New York to "make amends" to the Jewish people for his anti-Semitic remarks. This was reported on November 7 by the Times of Israel (ToI) newspaper.
The text noted that over the past few years, Kanye West has repeatedly become the author of anti-Semitic tirades, which he posted on his social networks, where he vowed to confront the Jewish people. In addition, he participated in an advertisement for a website that sold clothes with a swastika, and in May 2025 he wrote a song called Heil Hitler.
The rapper, who realized his mistake, had planned a meeting with the rabbi in advance. Citing his problems, in particular, bipolar disorder, which forces him to take words and ideas "to the extreme," he asked Pinto for permission to visit him. It is emphasized that the rabbi agreed and during the conversation with Ye, reminded him that Judaism "gave repentance to the world" and wished him "only good things."
"I'm really just grateful to you for hugging me with open arms and allowing me to make amends. It starts with the first steps, these are the first building blocks to restore solid walls," Pinto is quoted as saying in the text.
On July 2, Australian Immigration Minister Tony Burke announced the cancellation of Kanye West's visa for his track titled Heil Hitler. According to Burke, there were a lot of offensive words in this song, which attracted the attention of representatives of his department.
