In five hours, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 14 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the skies over the regions of the Russian Federation. This was announced on November 6 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In the period from 12:00 to 17:00 Moscow time, 14 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of an airplane type were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is specified that seven drones were shot down over the territory of the Belgorod region, five drones were neutralized over the Kursk region, and one more UAV was eliminated over the Rostov region and Bashkortostan.

The Russian air defense forces destroyed 75 Ukrainian drones in the airspace of several regions overnight. The largest number of drones was shot down over the Volgograd region — 49. Drones were also intercepted over Crimea — seven, Voronezh Region — six, Rostov Region — four, Belgorod Region — three, Oryol Region — two, as well as over Moscow, Kursk, Lipetsk and Tambov regions one each.
