The most expensive Chinese cars to repair in Russia are the FAW, JAC and Tank models. Experts from Migtorg told Izvestia about this on November 6. The rating was based on the average check for car repairs: bodywork, maintenance of technical units, as well as electrical installations.

"The most expensive repairs should be expected by owners of FAW cars (up to 530 thousand rubles), JAC (over 400 thousand rubles) and Tank (more than 230 thousand rubles). The high cost is due to the small number of spare parts and the extended delivery time for some components," the experts said in a statement.

They named cars of the Chery and Exeed brands (147 thousand rubles), Kaiyi (121 thousand rubles) and Lifan (84 thousand rubles) as the most economical in maintenance.

Experts said that the spare parts industry is facing a number of systemic difficulties, including increased delivery times and shortages in local warehouses, as well as logistical disruptions from China and difficulties in obtaining and processing technical documentation. All this affects the timing of repairs and the total cost of work, they said.

As noted by Alexander Korotkov, CEO of Migtorg, there is now a trend of responsible attitude towards car maintenance, especially in the segment up to three years old. This year, the increase in referrals was 139% compared to last year, he shared.

Earlier, on October 24, it was reported that by the end of July–September, demand for used cars of Chinese brands increased by 31.5% compared to the first quarter of 2025.
