A criminal case has been opened in Ust-Ilimsk, Irkutsk region, as a result of food poisoning of citizens. This was announced on November 6 by the press service of the Investigative Department (IC) for the city.
"The Investigative Department for the city of Ust-Ilimsk of the SU IC of Russia for the Irkutsk region has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet security requirements")," the department's Telegram channel says.
According to the investigation, on October 25, a group of people came to a sushi bar. After eating, they went to the hospital with signs of food poisoning, including six minors.
Currently, the owner of the establishment is in the investigation department.
On November 5, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Khakassia clarified that after watching a movie, 32 people, including 20 children, contacted the doctors. According to the Izvestia source, 33 people were injured, all of them were sent for outpatient treatment. According to the investigation, cinema visitors suffered eye burns as a result of the operation of a germicidal lamp. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.
One of the mothers of the injured boy said that her son complained of burning in his eyes after watching the film and could not sleep at night due to severe pain. Another resident of the city shared that after visiting the cinema, a whole stream of victims poured into the hospital: the audience began to complain en masse of painful symptoms: eye pain, tearing, reaction to light. She and her son were diagnosed with corneal burns.
