The death toll from the fire in Surgut has increased to eight. This was announced on November 6 by the head of the city Maxim Slepov.

"The list of victims of the terrible fire in the Coastal-1 cell has been updated. A man who was admitted after the tragedy with multiple burns died in the hospital today. I express my sincere condolences to the family and friends," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to Slepov, the survivors of the accident receive comprehensive assistance. At the same time, residents of the horticultural association collected belongings and household items for the victims, and the Surgut administration also took over the organization of the funeral of family members.

The day before, seven people were reported dead, including four children, as a result of a fire in a country house in Surgut, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug).
