"Russian Creative Week — Siberia" sets the trends for the development of the creative economy

Plenary discussions and strategic sessions, educational intensive courses for creators and officials, music industry forum and industrial design conference, lectures and workshops: Details of the business program of the anniversary festival-forum "Russian Creative Week — Siberia", which will be held in Krasnoyarsk from November 12 to 14, have become known.

The fifth regional forum for Siberia will be the first regional event where the trends formulated at the federal "Russian Creative Week" in September 2025 will be developed. The main trend is the transition to a value—based economy with the creation of creative products based on Russian traditional spiritual and moral values. The theme of the anniversary forum was the statement "The Krasnoyarsk Territory is the creative axis of the country and the Siberian region is a visionary."

The forum's venue will be the Kvadrat creative cluster, the decision to create which was made following the results of one of the previous "Russian Creative Weeks — Siberia". The Krasnoyarsk Territory became the first region of Russia to host the Russian Creative Week regional forum in 2021, and was one of the first to support all federal decisions on the creative economy.

"The Krasnoyarsk Territory can be called a region of experiments, which launches a new agenda throughout the country. We were able to package the experience gained at the strategic sessions in Krasnoyarsk, and there were more than 300 of them, and make it the norm for the regions. So, in 2021, in Moscow, we announced the need for a federal law on the development of creative industries, and the first substantive discussions on its details have already taken place in Krasnoyarsk. A year ago in Siberia, we only discussed complex topics related to a value-based economy, but today the creative market already understands correctly the issues of implementing value orientations into its creative product. Being the first and being visionaries is always difficult, but it is thanks to the forums in Krasnoyarsk that we are moving the whole country towards a new creative economy," said Marina Mongush, President of ANO Creative Economy.

"Siberia is about a tenth of all the projects that have won our competitions. The Siberian teams received about 2 billion rubles from the PFCI and invested almost the same amount in their projects themselves. Krasnoyarsk is the Siberian leader: 147 projects were supported here, to which the fund allocated about 330 million rubles. Each Russian Creative Week — Siberia forum provides a huge impetus for the development of creative industries and their attitude as a full—fledged sector of our economy," said Roman Karmanov, General Director of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.

Among the topics of the anniversary forum "Russian Creative Week — Siberia" are the opening of a branch of the National Center "Russia" in Krasnoyarsk, the export potential of the creative industries of Siberia, and the implementation of the national project "Tourism and the Hospitality Industry". The forum will include events on the Day of Creative Entrepreneurship, a project fair for students of creative industries colleges, and the Siberian stage of the Creative Generation all-Russian hackathon of AI content creators.

On November 12, Kvadrat will host the Colisium Siberia music industry forum and the Promdiz25 international industrial design conference with experts from Russia, Belarus, China, Switzerland and India.

"A lot of things will be implemented at the jubilee forum for the first time. We designed it with a focus on applied results, so we included a lot of educational activities in the program. For example, in partnership with the Higher School of Economics, an educational intensive will be implemented at the forum for mayors of cities and heads of municipalities. We will immerse managers in working with new approaches to the development of small towns as centers of the creative economy. With the support of the Russian Center for the Turnover of Rights to the Results of Creative Activity (RCIS), an open educational track will work for the first time, where we will examine in detail the practical case studies of available tools for the commercialization of intellectual property objects," said Natalia Kochetkova, Program Director of the Russian Creative Week Siberia forum.

Among the speakers of the anniversary forum are Sergey Novikov, Head of the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Public Projects, Tatyana Zhuravleva, CEO of the Melnichenko Foundation, Natalia Belenkaya, CEO of the National Register of Intellectual Property, Svetlana Gilyarovskaya, Federal Coordinator of the Committees for the development of creative industries of Opora Russia, Alexander Krasavtsev, Managing Partner of the POLIS Urban Development Institute, Zvonko digital Executive Director Dmitry Konnov.

At a press conference, Sofya Trotsenko, president of the Vinzavod Foundation for Contemporary Art, noted that the art industry in Siberia is promoted by people motivated to develop themselves and the region without moving to Moscow or St. Petersburg thanks to active government support and private initiatives. Andrey Krichevsky, Chairman of the RCIS, announced the signing of a roadmap for the implementation of a cooperation agreement with the government of the Krasnoyarsk Territory at the forum. Sergey Babich, the organizer of Colisium Siberia, noted that during the 10 years of the Colisium forum, music, without which many creative industries cannot be imagined, has itself become a full-fledged industry in the country. Dmitry Zhurkin, the ideologist of the Taygastro gastronomic festival and the SCAN contemporary art fair, spoke about plans to create a value and semantic hub in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, which will form the cultural code of Krasnoyarsk as a leading center of the creative economy.
