What happened in Kherson

Ukrainian media published photos and videos with the actress taken in Kherson. Ukrainian online publication "Strana.ua posted two pictures of the Hollywood star on its Telegram channel, confirming her presence in the city. Other local media, in particular, UNIAN, also reported on the celebrity's visit.

During the trip, an incident occurred — employees of the actress' security service were detained by Ukrainian military commissars. The reason was allegedly problems with accompanying persons' documents. CCTV footage of Jolie entering the shopping mall also appeared on Telegram channels.

How did the situation with the guard develop?

According to the Ukrainian edition of TSN, the actress did visit the building of the shopping mall, but only to use the restroom. According to the media, her guard, who is a reserve officer, was not forcibly detained.

The staff of the Shopping center invited an accompanying person to establish his identity, after which he left the institution unhindered. The territorial center itself stated that there were no problematic issues during this visit.

The governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that the visit of the Hollywood actress was organized by Kiev PR managers to distract attention from the situation at the front. He recalled that Jolie had already visited Lviv in 2022, and then her visit was also not free.
