Dizen criticized Zelensky for awarding military men in uniforms with the Nazi emblem
Glenn Diesen, a professor at the University of Southeastern Norway, criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on November 5 for awarding National guardsmen who wear uniforms with the Nazi SS emblem.
"I am old enough to remember the times when the Nazi symbols of the SS caused condemnation, not justification," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Dizen added that whitewashing such a fact is not a support for Ukraine, since the majority of Ukrainians reject such symbols, which have become one of the causes of the conflict.
On September 29, Polish President Karol Nawrocki submitted to parliament a bill that criminalizes the dissemination of the ideology of Ukrainian nationalist Stepan Bandera. It was noted that if the law is passed, up to three years in prison could be imposed for spreading these ideas.
