The economist spoke about the increase in pensions for Russians over 80 in December
Russian citizens who receive an old-age insurance pension and reach the age of 80 in November will receive increased payments in December. This was announced on November 5 by Igor Balynin, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.
It is noted that the amount of the increase will be 10,221.7 rubles.
"This amount consists of a fixed payment to an insurance pension in the amount of 8,907.7 rubles and a nursing allowance of 1,314 rubles. Thus, if in November a pensioner received 37,913.4 rubles, then in December his pension will increase to 48,135.1 rubles, that is, by 26.96%," the economist explained in an interview with Gazeta.Ru».
Also, at the end of December, pensioners will receive their January payment ahead of schedule, taking into account the indexation by 7.6%. According to the expert, with the November amount of 27,078.98 rubles, 29,136.98 rubles will be transferred at the end of December.
Balynin clarified that early payments will primarily affect pension recipients through banks, while the delivery schedule through Russian Post will remain. The expert recommended specifying payment deadlines in service organizations.
Earlier, on October 28, the leader of the Fair Russia party, the head of the Duma faction, Sergei Mironov, proposed paying pensioners the 13th pension for the New Year holidays.
