The sites of the Angara launch complex at the Vostochny cosmodrome were left without power supply due to the contractor's debt. This was announced on November 5 on the website of the press service of the Far Eastern Energy Company (DEK).

"Due to the debt for consumed resources, which currently exceeds 51 million rubles, the Far Eastern Energy Company has limited the supply of electricity to the facilities of PSO Kazan LLC, the general contractor for the construction of the second stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome," the publication says.

The DEK clarified that due to non-fulfillment of obligations by the contractor, the power engineers are considering the possibility of applying to the court to declare the company bankrupt. Previously, shutdowns were planned back in May, but then the power engineers postponed them after the contractor provided guarantees of payments. Despite this, the debts were never repaid, which led to a power outage at the facilities of the Angara complex.
