The Ferosplavnaya-1 power transmission line for supplying the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) is expected to be repaired in mid-November. This was announced on November 2 by Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia's Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna.
According to him, the restoration work on the power line is still ongoing.
"By all indications, this is (the completion of restoration work. — Ed.) will happen around the middle of November," Ulyanov said in an interview with RIA Novosti
On October 23, the Zaporizhia NPP resumed the supply of electricity to meet the station's own needs 30 days after the complete loss of external power supply. It is specified that previously the power supply for the station's own needs was carried out from backup diesel generators. They also added that the work at Ferroalloy-1 continues.
On October 18, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi announced that work on the nuclear power plant had begun after the creation of local ceasefire zones to continue work. It was possible to announce the political and technical conditions for the repair of the NPP thanks to the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Rosatom and the IAEA.
