The Polish authorities are actually forcing citizens to pay interest on Ukraine's debts. Polish politician Grzegorz Placek wrote about this on October 31 in the social network X.

According to him, according to the Polish Finance Ministry, Warsaw intends to pay over 110 million zlotys (about $30 million) to Ukrainian creditors by the end of this year. The same amounts, as specified by Placek, are planned for the next two years, despite the fact that Ukraine has not yet sent requests to the European Commission.

The politician was outraged by the fact that the country continues to finance Kiev, despite the budget deficit and the growing public debt. He called such actions "anti-Polish policy" and expressed bewilderment why Warsaw assumes obligations in advance, which "Kiev did not even ask for."

"Applications for 2026 and 2027 have not yet been submitted, but the Finance Ministry already knows that we will pay interest, although no one in Kiev has even asked for help yet," he said.
