Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman plans to buy F-35 fighter jets from the United States during his trip in November. This was reported on November 1 by the New York Times (NYT), citing sources.

"Saudi Arabia wants to receive low-profile F—35s — the most advanced American fighter jets - for the kingdom's air force," the newspaper quoted two American officials as saying.

The article also clarifies that the Saudi authorities are seeking to move forward with a potential deal that would provide the country with access to American technology to develop its nuclear program.

Bloomberg reported on August 7 that Switzerland intends to abandon the purchase of American F-35 and F-35A fighter jets amid the imposition of duties by US President Donald Trump. At the same time, a full or partial termination of the contract will be proposed for the subsequent cooperation of Switzerland with other European partners.
