With the onset of autumn, the "reset season" begins on the labor market, when people are more likely to think about retraining. On November 8, Aygun Kurbanova, founder of the School of Career Management and president of the Association of Career Consultants, told Izvestia about why the demand for a career change is increasing during this period.

She explained that business activity in the labor market is decreasing in the summer and during the New Year period. At this time, many recruiters and hiring managers are taking vacations, and companies are focusing on maintaining ongoing processes.

"The least active periods of job search are May and the New Year holidays, followed by summer. In other words, the hottest time on the labor market is spring and autumn," Kurbanova said.

At the same time, in the fall, employers begin to compensate for lost time and strengthen the search for employees. The economic situation serves as an additional incentive for this process. If the company is stable in the market, entrepreneurs invest in the development of new areas and open vacancies. In case of uncertainty in the market, the main recruitment is used to replace existing positions, the career consultant clarified.

In addition, she added that autumn is a time for rethinking the professional path. After the summer lull, people are reviewing their career goals, and companies are preparing for the new financial year and forming updated strategies. This time is perceived as a moment for a "new beginning", which is especially important for those who decide to change their profession or improve their career prospects.

A survey conducted by the Talantix CRM recruitment system on October 13 showed that the majority of Russians are still interested in salaries and motivation systems at the job review stage. It was clarified that for 42% of respondents, information about the social package and bonuses is important, for 40% — about career prospects.
