In Tula, a 23-year-old female tram driver allowed the rear of the car to leave the tram tracks, after which there was a collision with two minibuses, a crossover and a passenger car. As a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers of one minibus, as well as the passenger of the second minibus, were killed. Another 19 people (16 minibus passengers and three tram passengers) were injured and hospitalized.

In addition, 44 accidents involving minors were registered over the past day, as a result of which two children were killed and 52 young road users were injured, including 27 passengers, two cyclists and six motor transport drivers.

For example, in Moscow, a 21-year-old driver, driving a passenger car, ran over a minor pedestrian who was crossing the roadway at a controlled pedestrian crossing at a forbidding traffic light. A seven-year-old boy was killed in an accident.

In the Orel region, on the 31st km of the federal highway R-119 "Orel - Lipetsk — Yelets — Tambov", a 33—year-old driver, driving a passenger car, entered the oncoming traffic lane and collided with a truck moving in the opposite direction. After that, the truck drove into the oncoming lane and collided with another passenger car, both cars left the road and overturned. As a result of the accident, both car drivers were killed, as well as three passengers of the first foreign car, including a five-year-old girl who was in a child restraint, and one passenger of the second car. Another passenger of the foreign car was hospitalized with injuries.

Due to adverse weather conditions, temporary traffic restrictions for vehicles continue to be introduced in a number of regions of the country. Thus, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, due to snowfall and ice, bus traffic is temporarily restricted on sections of regional highways "Epishino - Severo—Yeniseisky" from 123 to 291 km and "Severo-Yeniseisky - Velmo" from 0 to 95 km.

On the eve of weekends and holidays, the State Traffic Inspectorate urged motorists to strictly observe traffic regulations. The department paid special attention to the inadmissibility of driving while intoxicated. Such actions pose a serious threat to the life and health of all road users and entail administrative and criminal liability provided for by law.

Due to the possible deterioration of weather conditions, changes in visibility and condition of the road surface, drivers are advised to exercise increased care, choose the speed limit and distance appropriate to specific traffic conditions. Motorists were urged to plan travel routes in advance, take into account the traffic situation and possible traffic difficulties, especially on busy highways and near places of mass recreation of citizens.

"If there are child passengers in your car, always transport them in compliance with all applicable safety requirements, using child restraints, car seats and car seats in accordance with the height and weight of young road users. Not only your own life and health are in your hands, but also the lives of other road users who depend on your driving discipline, driving skills, and well—being," said Police Colonel Anton Belan, Deputy head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child Traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
