Tricolor is preparing a new operating system for televisions
A new operating system for televisions will appear on the Russian market. Among its main features are adaptations for both satellite TV and online viewing and personalized recommendations: the system will analyze user preferences in order to offer relevant content on the home screen.
Tricolor has announced the imminent launch of a new operating system for its brand's TVs. The solution was developed entirely by inhouse, the operator's own forces. Tricolor will become the third domestic company offering users a full-fledged operating system under its own brand.
The new platform will combine satellite and Internet TV in a single interface and offer users advanced features focused on comfort, safety and personalization. Key features include smart search across all connected online cinemas, the ability to install applications via APK files and from the built—in app store, a child mode with protection from unwanted content, voice control, and personalized recommendations on the home screen.
The Tricolor operating system was created taking into account the needs of the Russian audience, and, unlike imported solutions, supports regular and full-fledged updates. In addition, it is fully integrated with the company's ecosystem of services, including services such as Smart Home and Video Surveillance.
Tricolor announced the new product on October 30 in Moscow at the Telecom Intensive conference. In her speech, Yulia Kudryashova, Director of the Tricolor Product and Project Management Department, emphasized that the product will combine everything you need in one device and under a single Tricolor ID account: security, ease of management, flexibility of configuration and intelligent functions.
The new OS is already being integrated into the Tricolor TV line and will be available to users from January 2026.
