Michurinsk veterinarians save the life of an owl from the Lipetsk region

A smoke owl with a wing injury was brought from the village of Lev Tolstoy, Lipetsk region, to the Michurinsky Center for the Protection of Birds of Prey "Russian Falcon". Doctors are fighting for the life of the bird.

According to GOROD48, the owl was found to have numerous soft tissue injuries with necrosis, and bared bones. The wing could not be saved.

The treatment is carried out within the framework of the Ecology on Wheels project. It is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. The project helps to return birds to the wild.

Earlier, employees of the Moscow Zoo reported on saving the life of a bat named Alex, which belongs to a species called the gigantic vechernitsa (the largest bats in Europe and Russia). The animal arrived at the zoo in extremely serious condition. The kid suffered severe fractures, and his future hung in the balance. The doctors literally "reassembled" Alex.
