Rospatent has registered the Visa trademark

Rospatent has officially registered the trademark of the American company Visa. This was reported on October 30 by TASS with reference to data from the Rospatent electronic database.

The application for registration was submitted by Visa International Service Association from the USA on September 10, 2024. It is noted that trademark registration covers several classes of the International Classification of Goods and services (ICTS), including remote banking, as well as debit and credit card services. The trademark expires in the Russian Federation on September 10, 2034.

In the spring of 2022, the international payment systems Visa and Mastercard decided to limit their activities in Russia due to the geopolitical situation around Ukraine. However, Visa and Mastercard cards continue to operate within the country, and funds in customer accounts are fully available.
