TelecomDaily has completed an annual survey of the quality of communication among mobile operators providing Internet access in the Moscow Metro (MTS, Megafon, Beeline, and T2 cellular networks). MTS topped the mobile Internet speed rating in tunnels, while Beeline and MegaFon shared the second place.

The average data transfer rate to the subscriber (which is the main indicator for measuring the quality of communication) among the four operators increased during the flights between stations. It grew from 85.5 Mbit/s at the end of 2024 to 94.7 Mbit/s and approached the highs of 2023 — 95.6 Mbit/s. "MTS is in first place here with 113.8 Mbit/s, Beeline and Megafon shared the second place with 104 Mbit/s. The T2 has 56.9 Mbps," noted TelecomDaily.

Another of the main qualitative characteristics is ping or signal delay, which demonstrates the speed of data packet delivery to the server and back to the subscriber. The average ping value for the four operators is 47.3 Ms. The best (minimum) ping was recorded on the Beeline network — 41 Ms. MTS Has 48 Ms. MegaFon and T2 shared the third place with 50 Ms.

Another important indicator of the quality of communication services is the continuity of the connection. The researchers concluded that all four mobile operators operating in the metro provided a stable Internet connection, which practically does not break off while driving. According to estimates by TelecomDaily, in 2025 this figure increased compared to last year and reached 97.2%. The continuity in the Beeline network is higher than that of other networks, amounting to 98.8%. It is followed by T2 with 98.75%. MegaFon has 97.9%, and MTS has 93.5%.
