The expert warned of three Mercury retrograde periods in 2026

In 2026, Mercury will enter the retrograde phase three times, with all periods taking place in the water signs — Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. This will strengthen the influence on the representatives of the water element, as well as on Gemini and Virgo, for whom Mercury is the patron saint. This was announced by astrologer Ksenia Shakhova in a conversation with Izvestia on October 30.

She noted that the first retrograde period from February 26 to March 20 in Pisces shifts the focus from logic to intuition.

"When Mercury becomes retrograde in Pisces, the usual order of thoughts dissipates. During these weeks, it is worth preserving inner peace: do not rush to conclusions, check the information. Talking less means listening more," Shakhova explained.

The summer period from June 29 to July 24 in Cancer activates the theme of family and the past, promoting reconciliation and rethinking personal history, Shakhova said. The autumn retrograde in Scorpio from October 24 to November 13 favors in-depth analysis, investigations and work with archives, but requires caution in financial matters.

The astrologer recommends avoiding hasty decisions during these periods, carefully checking information and focusing on completing current affairs.
