Russia and Bolivia signed a memorandum to develop cultural ties
Russia and Bolivia have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening cultural, artistic and educational cooperation between the two countries. This was announced on October 28 on the website of the Ministry of Culture of Bolivia.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture, Decolonization and Depatriarchalization of Bolivia, Esperanza Guevara, and the Russian Ambassador to La Paz, Dmitry Verchenko.
"This memorandum will strengthen us mutually by sharing experiences, knowledge and cultural expressions between our peoples," Guevara said.
Dmitry Verchenko, for his part, confirmed Russia's readiness to develop cultural contacts with Bolivia and support joint initiatives.
The agreement provides for cooperation in the fields of art, cultural heritage protection, librarianship, literature and cultural education, as well as support for indigenous cultures. The document is aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue and developing friendship between peoples.
Earlier, on July 28, Rosatom and the Ministry of Energy of Niger signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy. The document provides for cooperation in the field of nuclear power plant construction, nuclear medicine and specialist training.
