On October 28, the leader of the Fair Russia party, the head of the Duma faction, Sergei Mironov, proposed paying pensioners the 13th pension for the New Year holidays.

"On Grandparents' Day, I would like to remind you of the initiative <...> to pay the 13th pension for the New Year holidays," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
