On October 27, the Khachaturian sisters met for the first time in six months at a court hearing where their father's relatives' appeal against his posthumous conviction for violence is being considered. This was reported by a correspondent of Izvestia

At the same time, the sisters are still forbidden to communicate with each other.

The meeting was attended by the sisters' aunt Naira Khachaturian, who expressed outrage at the girls' behavior.

"With a smirking smile in our direction, it is not appropriate for them to behave like this in the hallway, but they sit quietly in the hall <...> They are not so violated and have never been violated," she said in an interview with Izvestia.

Lawyer Alexey Papenov explained that the court had postponed consideration of the relatives' complaint.

"The court found that there were comments from Mikhail Khachaturian's defense, but these comments have not been considered to date. This was the reason for the postponement," he said.

The murder of Mikhail Khachaturian was committed on July 27, 2018. His three daughters were arrested on August 2, 2018 and charged with murder by prior agreement (paragraph "g" of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code). In mid-June 2019, they were finally charged. However, in March 2021, the Khachaturian sisters were officially recognized as victims in the case of violence and beatings by their father.

After that, in May 2022, the investigation was completed, and the charges against businessman Khachaturian were tightened due to the fact that he distributed pornographic materials involving his daughters. Then, on February 1, 2021, the case against the Khachaturian sisters was returned to the prosecutor's office in order to resolve a number of contradictions in the indictment.

On April 21, 2025, Khachaturian was posthumously found guilty of the crime. At the same time, the criminal case was terminated in connection with the death of the man. In turn, his sister Naira stated that she would appeal the verdict, seeking his posthumous acquittal.
