Putin signed a law to tighten the rules for advertising energy companies
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law tightening the regulation of advertising of non-alcoholic tonic drinks, including energy drinks. The relevant document was published on the official Internet portal of legal information on October 27.
The law establishes new norms in the law "On Advertising", according to which "advertising of tonic drinks in each case will have to be accompanied by a warning about the dangers of their excessive consumption."
In radio ads, the warning should sound for at least 3 seconds, in TV ads and in film and video services - for at least 5 seconds. In this case, the text warning must occupy at least 7% of the frame area or advertising area.
In addition, the law prohibits advertising the presence of biologically active additives and vitamins in tonic drinks, and all such advertising should not be directed at minors.
Earlier, on April 7, Putin signed a law banning the distribution of advertising on the resources of undesirable organizations in the Russian Federation. It was noted that both advertisers and distributors of advertisements would be responsible for violating the ban.
