- The Kremlin announced the imminent appointment of the acting governor of the Tver region
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the acting governor of the Tver Region will be appointed in the near future. This was announced by TASS on October 27.
"Of course, the president and the relevant administration services are trying to choose the best option — the person who will most effectively fit this position, specifically for this region," Peskov said.
According to Peskov, Vladimir Putin and the presidential administration are selecting the most suitable candidate for this post.
On September 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Tver Region Governor Igor Rudenya and signed a decree on the early termination of the powers of the governor of the Tver Region. Later that day, Putin signed another decree appointing Rudeni as the president's plenipotentiary representative in the Northwestern Federal District.
