In the Tula region, a one-time payment was introduced for pregnant schoolgirls and female students, its amount will be 150 thousand rubles. This was announced on October 26 on the website of the Ministry of Labor of the Tula region.
"Since October, a one-time payment of 150,000 rubles has been in effect in the Tula region for pregnant students. Medical support for expectant mothers is being improved," the publication says.
This support measure has been in effect since October and applies to pregnant women who study full-time in general education institutions, professional organizations in secondary vocational education programs or higher education institutions. In order to receive the payment, the girls must be at least 12 weeks pregnant.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of State Demographic and Family Policy on October 23 that motherhood and fatherhood are happiness and should not be postponed. He also stressed that Russia has already increased the amount of maternity benefits for full-time students.
